This browser can't run on-device AI yet

ChaiGPT brews answers locally on your device using Chrome's built-in AI (Prompt API) or WebGPU. Your current browser doesn't expose either, so we can't run a model here without sending your prompts to a cloud server — which would break our privacy promise.

To use ChaiGPT, please open it in a recent version of Google Chrome (version 127+) on a desktop or laptop. If you have Chrome already, you may need to enable the built-in AI flags at chrome://flags/#prompt-api-for-gemini-nano and chrome://flags/#optimization-guide-on-device-model.

We're not throwing an error here on purpose — your messages would have nowhere to go that respects your privacy.
